**Technical Compliance Technologist**

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum plus benefits

Intapeople are working exclusively with this renowned Food Manufacturing business based in Caerphilly who due to a recent restructure and internal promotion require a Technical Compliance Technologist. Reporting directly to the Technical Compliance Manageryou will form part of a highly successful team.

Your role will be to ensure that customer, business, and legal requirements for food factored goods is achieved in line with quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a first-class quality culture throughout the site.

**As Technical Compliance Technologist you’ll be.**
- Maintaining and approving the existing new factored goods finished product specifications
- Maintaining and approving the supplier self-audit questionnaires for new and existing factored goods suppliers
- Complete the supplier self-audit questionnaire on behalf of the company for factored goods customers
- Perform the risk assessment for factored goods supply chain VACCP and TACCP
- Approve and maintain finished product specifications for factored goods sold under the business brand
- Maintain, update, and issue the approved suppliers list for factored goods
- Take full ownership of the finished product tracker for factored goods and manage spec approvals
- Maintain the allergens data for factored goods and respond to any allergens/ nutritional requests for factored goods products
- Assist and provide full support in traceability exercises performed on factored goods products
- Maintain and update relevant factored goods systems and databases liaising with Operations, Technical and NPD as appropriate
- Assist in the co-ordination of response to factored goods products related food safety alerts
- Participate in internal or external audits ensuring all relevant product specification information is available and completed in the required timescale

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes ideally within the Food Manufacturing/ FMCG Industry
- A strong awareness of Good Manufacturing Practice Standards
- Intermediate HACCP Principles
- FIC Legislation awareness would be an advantage
- Understanding the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000, QMS, BRC, GMP and Customer Codes of Practice
- Strong team ethic and ability to work autonomously under own initiative
- Good communication skills and an aptitude for attention to detail
- Highly analytical and process driven
