**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**General Builder**

**Reporting to**:Robert Foster - Heating Operation Manger

**Location**:Various in-line with work delivery

**Salary**:£30 - £35K depending on experience

**Hours**:40 Monday - Friday

Robert Heath Heating specialises in providing domestic and commercial gas heating installation, service and maintenance services and renewable energies to Social Housing and is currently engaged in long term contracts with Housing Associations and Local Authorities, covering over 100,000 properties across the UK.
- **MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**_

1. To project manage and schedule your own daily building works.

2. Proactively manage all property and maintenance suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and high standards are achieved.

3. To ensure quality of work is delivered in all our client’s properties.

4. To assume the leading role in respect of all Robert Heath buildings, including reactive property repairs, and lead responsibility for the booking of meeting rooms.

**Carpentry** & **Building** - measuring and cutting wood, laying roofing shingles, and mixing and pouring concrete for foundational footings Flue, back boilers brick-up boarding and skimming roofing works are just some of the building skills home builders must possess.

**Creativity** - assisting with the design of practical and modern homes that suit individual client tastes and needs calls for strong creative skills.

7. **Troubleshooting** - when any aspect of the homebuilding process runs into trouble, we must address these issues and offer viable, effective solution.

8. To ensure detailed preventative programmes are in place so that all facilities are maintained to agreed standards and within budgets.
- **GENERAL**_

1. To maintain standard of dress that is appropriate to the role and in accordance with the organisation’s dress policy.

2. To always maintain confidentiality and to ensure respect for, proper observance of and adherence to Robert Heath’s confidentiality policy.

3. To take all reasonable care of the health and safety of her / himself and of other persons who may be affected by her / his acts or omissions.

4. To work at any other Robert Heath location as and when required.

5. To undertake any other duties which are consistent with the post.

**ESSENTIAL**

Holder of a full driving licence

General Building Works, Plastering, Carpentry/Woodwork, Decoration, Working as a team member

**Desirable**

IT Skills - specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
