The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is at the forefront of higher education in Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science, and related areas. We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic, and committed individual to join our team in the area of organic chemistry.

Ideally, you will have a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, with a particular focus on the synthesis and identification of molecules typically used in the pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic sectors. In addition, you will have experience of utilising state of the art advanced analytical methods for structure elucidation of such molecules. It is expected that you will have proven research and/or teaching experience in the field of organic chemistry.

You will be expected to contribute to teaching of and administration of The School’s portfolio of foundation, undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. It is expected that you will complement existing research/teaching activities within The School and as part of the role you will be encouraged to develop your own research interests.
