Junior Graphic Designer

Junior graphic designer / Product maker

We are looking for a part time junior graphic designer / product maker with basic skills of adobe illustrator or Corel draw or other similar programmes to join our small team of 5.

Starting 3 days a week, 9 - 4, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you have no experience in Adobe or Corel - being very tech savvy, creative and a good eye for detail will be suffice as we can train you.

This position is likely to become full time within 6 months so we would need someone who can commit to full time if it became available.

Our business sell’s wedding stationary, event and party décor and personalised gifts. We use laser engraving machines to cut and engrave wood and acrylic items.

This role would be perfect for a university or college graduate gaining experience in a creative work environment - but welcome any applicants who are interested who believe they have the right skills plus a friendly and positive 'can do' attitude.

Work will be paid per hour, guaranteeing 3 days per week but we are confident more hours will be available in upcoming months.

Role & Responsibilities
- Creation and development of products
- Bespoke designing of products and sample signage
- Engage and understand clients bespoke requests
- Liaise with clients
- Occasional help packing
- Machine maintenance
- Stock checks
- Keeping the workshop organised
- Great eye for detail
- Good time keeping
- Confident navigating a computer
- Good organisation skills
- Quality control checking orders.

Any photography & video editing skills would be highly desirable but not essential.

This job will start at £10 per hour for the probation period, when fully competent it will increase.
