**InterimSenior Climate Modelling Manager-£75,000 to £95,000 for national locations / £85,000 to £110,000 for London** To achieve Aviva’s long-term success in relation to climate-change, we are looking for a **Senior Actuarial or financial modelling professional**, who has the drive and passion for developing methodologies and processes related to climate-change risk identification. The chosen post-holder will assess Aviva’s exposure to the proximate,medium-and longer-term climate change physical and transitional risks and opportunities, as well as onward integration into existing General Insurance processes across Finance and Risk functions - therefore prior experience of this would be preferable. **_FYI - this role is being offered on two-year fixed term contract basis._** **A bit about the job**: As a Senior Manager you will play a key role in risk identification and then build, assess, integrate and validate models and processes (both internal and external) to appropriately capture, quantify and drive insight on the business’s exposure to physicaland transitional climate risks. You will collaborate across teams to ensure relevant requirements and methodologies are sourced, designed and proposed that meet the business’s risk profile and processes, sharing insights in clear and comprehensible formatsacross a range of stakeholders - Aviva introduced "smart-working" in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be able to attend meetings at either our Norwich or London offices. Day to day work can be carried out at your nearest office (wehave multiple regional offices) and/or from home._ **Skills and experience we’re looking for**: - In depth understanding of physical risk hazards and Catastrophe Modelling, including risk exposure assessment and quantification. - Climate Science and modelling experience highly desirable - or a passion to learn such skills is essential - Experience of successfully leading deliveries towards large project milestones **What you’ll get for this role**: - Annual salary of £75k to £110k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). - Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%) - Eligibility for annual performance bonus - Family friendly parental and carer’s leave - 29 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days - Up to 40% discount for Aviva products - Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars - Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme - 21 volunteering hours per year **Aviva is for everyone**: We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you.
