Job Description

Fugro is looking for a self-motivated driven Operational Lead to join our world-leading Marine Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) department based in Falmouth, reporting to the MIS Business Manager.

MIS facilitate construction activities in marine environments by providing world-leading marine foundation drilling and installation expertise and equipment. Supported by our extensive in-house design and fabrication capabilities we are able to provide bespoke equipment that is engineered and operated to deliver the best possible technical and risk-reduced solution to suit our client's unique needs. Predominately working in an office-based environment, with a requirement to occasionally visit and work from Marine Projects in the UK and Internationally you will assist in the coordination to ensure that site operations are planned safely and efficiently with suitable and sufficient equipment, consumables, documentation and personnel.

You will also be responsible for recruiting, training and developing our ‘site’ personnel as well as coordinating their deployments to vessels/sites when necessary.

You will also collaborate with operational peers regionally and globally to share knowledge, resources and best practice.

Health and Safety is a key focus of this role so you will also assist the Project Manager & Project Supervisor(s) to ensure that Health & Safety standards set by Fugro and our clients on projects are adhered to.

Who you’ll be working with:
Throughout all stages of projects, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, and the Project Managers in supporting the day-to-day performance of our operations and will work with local teams to coordinate equipment maintenance and logistics.

Here’s what a typical day would be like:

- Provide technical advice/assistance to site teams
- Support field operations compliance with relevant rules and procedures.
- Assist with any coordination of sub-contractors, site visitors and all project associated logistics.
- Prepare, review and approve purchase requests drilling equipment, spares and consumables
- Coordinate allocation of personnel to sites and oversea logístical arrangements
- Monitor MIS equipment status and interface with the MIS Plant ensuring equipment is adequality maintained at all times

Who we’re looking for:
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in working as part of a team whilst managing others/direct reports
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams and Sharepoint
- Have a collaborative, open-minded, positive and proactive attitude
