**Environmental Health and Safety Advisor - £25,000-£28,000- Dunfermline, Scotland**

**The Role**

Are you a recently qualified NEBOSH diploma or degree qualified Occupational Health & Safety Management graduate, ideally with at least 1 years’ post-qualification experience looking for a new challenge? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are the UK market-leader in the manufacture of specialist temperature controlled and bespoke vehicles, looking to appoint a qualified Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to be responsible for driving the Safety culture; co-ordinating supporting andadvising the business on all aspects with regards to Environmental, Health and Safety and management systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities of an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring a safe workplace environment.
- Managing and monitoring of occupational health surveillance.
- Leading on Health & Safety improvements and initiatives including the attainment of ISO9001/14001 & 45001 accreditation.
- Ensuring completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
- Ensuring that safety inspections are conducted and recorded.
- On-going improvements to our environmental management/performance.
- Ensuring that we meet our environmental regulatory obligations.
- Setting achievable environmental objectives.
- Establishing a full programme of documented Health & Safety inspections, audits and checks and facilitate internal audits including ISO9001/14001 & 45001, LOLER, COSHH, MHOR & PUWER
- Establishing and delivery of a suite of mandatory Health & Safety training programmes and ensuring accurate training records are maintained across the company.

**The Person**

The key skills and qualities of an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor are:

- Recently qualified NEBOSH Diploma or Degree qualified Occupational Health & Safety Management graduate; ideally with 1-2 years post qualification experience.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
- A focus and interest in Environmental Management/Affiliate membership of 'Institute of Environmental Management Association’ working towards Associate membership; ideally within 12-24 months. (IEMA)
- Graduate membership or working towards, the 'Institute of Occupational Safety & Health’ (IOSH); ideally within 12-24months
- Strong, professional communication skills
- NEBOSH National Fire Safety Certificate (Desirable)
- Environmental qualification (Desirable)
