My client is a not-for-profit membership body who represent medical professionals. They are seeking a Digital Communications Officer to join their team. Home working with one day in the office but they are very flexible.
Our mission is to improve surgical care and support training, professional advice, research, events and generally try to support their professional development.
**The Digital Communications Officer will**:
The Senior Digital Communications Officer will support the Digital and Marketing Team in delivering a wide range of integrated digital communications, ensuring that the College informs, engages and influences its key stakeholder audiences and raises ourprofile.
The post holder will be expected to independently develop, implement and evaluate digital communication campaigns; oversee both paid and organic communications channels; manage our internal network of content owners; and manage projects to ensure that workis completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. The Senior Digital Communications Officer will work with the Digital Manager and Marketing Manager to develop and implement digital, content and social strategies.
**Responsible for**:
- Leading on strategic and insights-driven content creation and distribution.
- Independently developing user-centred site content, and being the voice for users in site management.
- Helping with monitoring web analytics to ensure digital activity is on track to meet key performance indicators using Google Analytics and related systems.
- Writing, editing and proof-reading material for online communications to an excellent standard, ensuring consistency and compliance with quality standards, branding, design, accessibility and textual style guidelines.
- Managing the Google AdWords grant account, via an external agency, to maximise engagement metrics in key areas.
- Working with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager to develop an organisational social media strategy and policy.
- Working with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager to set and monitor social media objectives and KPIs that align with the organisational strategy, and leading on reporting.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day effective running of: social media listening; monitoring and approvals and coordinating a schedule that involves the Marketing Team.
- Liaison and collaboration with the Marketing Team and wider organisation to jointly determine campaign priorities and briefs.
- Developing our paid social media presence, and being our internal expert on paid social strategy and setup.
- Setting and maintaining best practice across our social channels, and identifying relevant new opportunities.
**Digital resilience**
- Working with teams across RCS England, upskilling others in digital tools and best practice, and helping them measure and improve the effectiveness of their digital marketing
- Assisting in working closely with consultants, staff and IT project managers on the implementation of new web and digital services
- Helping run digital projects and campaigns within the College, ensuring effective delivery
- Supporting the development of evaluation activities to guide and inform the success of the content review
- Assisting in the design, build and implementation of a new website for the College
