**Job Description**:
**Do you want to be part of our team being responsible for the accounting and reporting of Vattenfall group UK-based business?**

Accounting R2R is the function in Vattenfall Finance Business Support which provides the accounting expertise to the group-units with a strong focus on quality and compliance. Accounting R2R is the Accounting expert for IFRS and the local GAAPs, preparing postings, managing the closings and the external audit, providing financial statements and acting as an interface to the external auditors. The function is organised in country specific teams for the General Accounting area supported by specialist teams like Fixed Assets across all countries.

**What will you do?**

Vattenfall is looking for an Accounting Professional who will have the task of securing correct Actuals in reporting for a number of Vattenfall business units in United Kingdom. You will be part of the Record to Report (R2R) organisation within Group Finance, reporting to the Head of Accounting R2R Other Countries in Vattenfall Group, who is based in Denmark. The team is located in Hexham, Kolding (Denmark) and Gliwice (Poland).You will become part of an expanding Vattenfall business in the UK, which currently is a large provider of renewable energy and still growing in capacity with the Norfolk projects to be developed in the years to come. Further Vattenfall Group is expanding into the UK Distribution and Heat business through new business ventures. This exciting growth will have to be serviced by you and your colleagues based in Hexham.

The position will provide a basis for growing with the task, both in terms of working cross-country and with complex accounting issues. The team will further support the transition towards SAP S/4 HANA in the years to come.

**Qualifications**:
**Who are you?**
- Working hands-on in delivering Actual figures right and on time
- Act as accounting expert for, in this:

- Take your role in securing the reporting of relevant and correct data
- Support business in accounting matters
- Contribute to good relationships and good service towards internal customers and with outsourcing partner Capgemini
- Legal entity responsibility for selected companies including balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
- Supporting audit process and operate controls
- Execute services with high quality and timeliness of the delivery following common processes, policies and guidelines
- Participate in development projects

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
- Part qualified accountant, either CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, or AAT as qualification
- Profound understanding of IFRS-accounting rules
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Finance processes
- Knowledge and experience is SAP is a benefit, Excel-skills

**Personal skills**
- High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team situated in various locations
- Open attitude towards change
- Ability to work proactively and solution oriented in a large and complex organisation
- Good communication skills, intercultural experience is an advantage.
