**The Role: Retail Team Leader**
The Retail Team are responsible for delivering our Retail Experience, which involves helping people understand our products and what's on offer; taking and dealing with transactions and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
**What you will be doing**:
- Delivering the day to day Retail Strategy at the Lost Shore Surf Resort (LSSR), Edinburgh.
- Working as a Team Leader of the Retail Team.
- Accountable for delivering a world class visitor experience in Retail and ensuring that everything is safe, hygienic and legally compliant.
- Reporting to the Retail Manager, the role is a Supervisory role at the LSSR and involves working with and alongside other HOD Team Members.
**Visitor Experience**: Utilising comprehensive knowledge of resort offerings, actively engaging with visitors to understand their needs, and effectively communicating to enhance guest satisfaction, drive recommendations, and exceed targets for returning visitors under the guidance of the VE Manager.
**Working as a Team**:Working closely with the Retail Manager to attract and retain top talent, inspiring the Retail Team to exceed visitor expectations, fostering open communication, driving team performance, and ensuring adherence to People Policies and Procedures.
**Financial Aspirations**: Collaborating with the Retail Manager to drive visitor engagement and satisfaction, ensuring the delivery of our budget, exceeding targets for returning visitors, and maintaining excellence in Retail operations.
**Ways of Working**: Ensurnig strict adherence to Health and Safety policies, maintaining compliance with licensing requirements, fostering a safety-conscious culture, leading response efforts during incidents, and maintaining accurate incident records within the Retail team.
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Thrives under pressure, maintains high energy levels, and demonstrates unwavering determination to achieve excellence, ensuring optimal performance even in challenging situations.
- Upholds customer-centric values, consistently delivering top-notch service and refusing to settle for anything less than exceptional standards, fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Possesses exceptional people skills, inspiring and motivating team members to excel, while fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- An interest in the maintenance and technology of our equipment is a bonus. Experience in surfboard or wetsuit repairs is of course not a necessity, but it would be an advantage.
- Exhibits outstanding organizational and time-management skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
**Additional Information**:
As a Retail Team Leader, you’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Our resort operates seven days a week, and early morning, late evening and weekend work will be required. Your commitment to ensuring the resort’s smooth operation during peak times is essential.
