This position is a senior role reporting into the General Manager ICL Boulby, providing leadership and direction to the operational teams, in a safe efficient manner. The role will formulate, deliver, review, and improve operational strategies to optimise production outputs in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team at ICL Boulby.The role is responsible for working closely with the Operational Managers/Engineers to ensure reliability is delivered through adherence to the business Safety Management System (SMS), prioritising and deploying the appropriate resources ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner which complies with the relevant Health and Safety legislation in their areas of responsibility.**With your professionalism and influencing skills you are responsible for**:
Providing operational strategy and technical expertise for the assigned areas, both during and outside normal hours.
- Driving and delivery of operational efficiency.
- Reviews operational performance, equipment performance, reliability and failure, leading and delivering improvement and defect elimination programmes.
- Responsible for determining the competency profile requirements of their team to deliver operational effectively and efficiently and the subsequent personal and competency development of team members to achieve this requirement.
- Organise and directs outage activity via the appropriate channels - Operational Engineers, Asset Management and Planning Engineer.
- Develop, deliver and manage projects for enhancement, new equipment and technology.
- Prepares budgets and forecasts for operations and projects and manages to agreed budgets.
- Develop and promote a culture of safety.
- Responsible for reviewing, monitoring and ensuring all Safety, Statutory and Environmental activities are completed within the agreed timeframe.**About you**:
Ideally is a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
- Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, dually a Chartered Engineer.
- Proven track record including supervision and management of operational teams and equipment.
- Experience of working in a heavy industry with significant knowledge of operations in their relevant discipline.
- Highly motivated and demonstrable history of improving safety performance, productivity and reliability in a similar environment.- Proficient in PC skills, having a thorough knowledge of SAP PM, Microsoft Project and Excel.Location: ICL Boulby UK-
