Due to an exciting o pportunity to participate in the INITIATE research study, we are looking for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner (AP) with an interest in research to join the Orthopaedic therapy team at Airedale. The post will be a static 15-month FTC to contribute to the parameters set out by the research study and supporting elements of the collection/analysing of data with support from research leads. The AP will be a member of the Orthopaedic therapy team and work alongside colleagues to provide a 7-day service and improve overall care we provide to Orthopaedic patients. The team offer:
The post holder will be required to have completed a foundation degree or equivalent and developed therapy competencies to progress to a Band 4. The post holder will also be expected to have an understanding of the requirements of rehabilitation and have experience of working with people with a range of health needs.
**The Post Holder will**:
Manage a caseload delegated by clinical
Independently undertake basic assessments and interventions relevant to delegated caseload.
Contribute to the evaluation of programmes and patient’s progression making minor alterations in consultation with the Orthopaedic therapy team.
Support the Orthopaedic team with complex cases as required.
Work with team members to ensure the effective functioning of the Orthopaedic team
Work in partnership with patients, carers, the multi disciplinary team and wider statutory, private and voluntary sector services.
Participate in activities to improve the Orthopaedic Service.
Provide support to other team members and students.
Work flexibly according to patient and service needs
