Bookkeeper/accounts Assistant, Part-time

Betel of Britain is a self-funded Christian charity offering help to those seeking to change their lifestyle and break free from addiction and homelessness. We offer a long term restoration programme, which is free of charge, where individuals become part of our family orientated residential community and are involved with the various aspects of work in our charity businesses which help fund our centres.
We are seeking an experienced individual for the finance office (address below) to assist with all aspects of day to day transactions (cheques, receipts, bills, invoicing and journal entries) pertaining to bank accounts (including cash), accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations. The post would be around 20 hours per week with some flexibility in work schedule but during the hours from 09:30 to 17:00.
We need someone well-versed with bookkeeping practices and vat, and is accurate, computer literate and who knows how to use QuickBooks and MS Office software.
This position requires a meticulous and organised person who has bookkeeping experience and is comfortable working without constant oversight.
Guideline pay rate: £11.00 per hour (depending upon experience)

Note: Smoking is not allowed due to the nature of the work with those Betel UK is helping.
