We are currently working with a SEN College, looking for a **Learning Support Assistant** to work children in Key Stage 5

The young people in need of support require this due to their additional needs. The pupils will often have with learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs and autism. These pupils are of college age and will be between ages 16-19 years old.

The school has a flexible curriculum meaning students can make choices about their education. The school develop individual learning plans shaped to suit each student’s interests, needs and aspirations so that everyone leaves with the skills and self-confidencefor their future.

Within this** Learning Support Assistant** role you will:

- Provide support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Establish trusted relationships with pupils and work with them on an individual needs basis.
- Promote the inclusion of all pupils in the classroom
- Encourage pupils to interact in classroom learning and with their peers
- Promote self confidence and set individual tailored goals and challenges
- Have experience in care/ school based settings

The school is based in Oldham within a secure, purpose built, specialist SEND setting. The school has with adaptations to provide a holistic career based around employability and general life skills to support these pupils in their journey to independence.The school is part of an established and well respected trust and has many opportunities for growth and progression.
