Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant Seeking a new long term position?

Empowering Learning are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Manchester.

It takes a special person to work with SEND children, if you are looking for progression in a role and feel you can support SEND children keep reading.
- The school are keen for a new SEND Teaching Assistant to join their support staff, supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with special educational needs.
- As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students with special educational needs, providing tailored 1:1 support within the classroom as well as smaller group sessions focused on supporting pupils with their development areas.
- The SEND Teaching Assistant role will be starting soon as possible on a full time basis, 8.30am - 4pm until the end of the academic year.
- Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering 1:1 support and working with smaller groups of students that require additional support.
- Engaging SEND pupils and encouraging interaction with lessons Supporting children with their literacy and numeracy work.
- Liaising with the Class Teacher and Parents to discuss pupil's progress and performance Supporting the Teacher with lesson prep and the delivery of lessons.
- Experience working with children within a school
- Experience of working with special educational needs is desirable
- Ability to adapt approach to meet learner's needs
- Strong interpersonal skills
