Internal Fraud Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for an **Internal Fraud Specialist** to join our Resilience and Controls team. The day to day in this role is extremely interesting and varied. You’ll be on the front line protecting YBS from internal threats.

**This is a 12-month fixed term contract role.**

This is a hybrid role with remote working plus onsite presence in our Bradford office every Tuesday & Friday.

**About the role**

As Internal Fraud Specialist, you’ll
- Conduct full and fair investigations in relation to internal fraud to protect the Society from internal threats.
- Support the recruitment on-boarding process and colleague screening checks
- Liaise with third parties, such as, law enforcement on cases requiring criminal prosecution
- Make recommendations to support the management of risk including but not limited to system identifiers and process changes

**About you**

As this position plays a very important role here at YBS, you must have experience investigating Internal Fraud or similar. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate
- A proven track record in an Internal Fraud or complex investigations role
- Comprehensive knowledge of investigation techniques including investigative interviews, evidence gathering and report writing
- Experience of investigating and analysing staff fraud concerns and suspicious activity
- Ability to work independently making your own professional judgements, confident in managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Good working knowledge of Financial Crime and HR policies
- Evidence of professional learning - Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS), ICA Advanced Certificate or equivalent
- Ideally have some knowledge of data analytics
