**Director of Strategy** The Director of Strategy will take a lead role in overseeing and co-ordinating the implementation of the Trusts recently published five-year vision, mission and clinical strategy which is focused on delivering outstanding care, a great place to work andhealthy communities. The role will help develop the future for the organisation, scan best practice and ensure that our strategic plans align with and ensure delivery of that future.

The postholder will work closely with the Executive team to support delivery of each of their component parts of the strategy. In particular to support annual development of the operating model, development of clinical strategies in line with the Trustsstrategy, moving from programme business case to the next stages with the estates redevelopment plan and taking a key role in supporting the multi-faceted activities relating to reducing health inequalities

**Pay Rates**: £53.66 PAYE inclusive of holiday or £ 61.70 Umbrella per hour

**RESPONSIBILITITES**

**Strategy and Planning**
- Lead the development of specific Trust Corporate and Clinical Strategies working directly with Executives, Divisions and Clinical teams
- Work with provider partners and Trust services to support the design and implementation of new models of care in areas such as diabetes, MSK and urgent care
- Support the Chief Finance Officer to manage the Annual Operational Planning process
- Ensure the Patient Voice is integral to the development of Trust strategies and services
- Support the work programme towards reducing health inequalities, working with partners across Buckinghamshire, support the smoking cessation programme, CVD prevention group and health on the high street.
- Oversee the work programme for developing the centre of excellence for rehabilitation
- Lead on public and staff engagement on behalf of the trust in order to redevelop the estate
- Provide strategic support for the new community diagnostics centre
- Support and develop strategic opportunities for the Trust’s net zero programme

**Regional Integrated Care Board and Local Partnership Boards**
- Work closely with the Buckinghamshire PLACE director and local partners e.g. the Council, voluntary services on key strategic initiatives
- Represent the Trust at local, regional and national strategy meetings as required.
- Link with NHSI and NHSE to ensure alignment with national assurances and timescales for programmes of work
- Input strategic thinking, particularly relating to PLACE based strategy and data to support the writing of proposals, business cases and reports

**Commercial**
- Work closely with the Trust’s Commercial Director to help to identify and shape new opportunities based on market knowledge, patient feedback and commercial considerations.
- Develop new alliances with private and public sector partners to support the growth and development of Trust Services
- Stimulate and constructively challenge the trust to consider and investigate high impact areas of growth, including geographical expansion, new services and commercial ventures.
- Lead on behalf of BHT the One Public Estate programme to deliver best value from the Estate
- Support the development of an Innovation culture within the Trust
