The Eating Disorders Service provides specialist treatments for adults with a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and/or Atypical Eating Disorders in the community on an outpatient basis across the county. We have a developing programme for low weight individuals and for those who may be at higher risk of admission due to their eating difficulties. We provide a range of NICE recommended treatments to individuals and within a group environment.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Eating Disorder Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated Eating Disorders Service in Lincolnshire. The team consists of a Service Manager, Team Co-ordinator/Nurse Specialist; Consultant Psychiatrist; Clinical Psychologist; Nurse Specialists; Community Support Workers; Administrative support staff. We have Specialist Dietetics within our team and also strong internal links with the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service. We are actively involved with Nottingham and Lincoln Universities, supporting their clinical training and research.
The service provides the latest in evidence based NICE psychological interventions to adults with an eating disorder. The team’s multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals is a real strength.
You will work well within a well-established team however you will be expected to be able to deliver an autonomous service, operating within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Eating Disorder Service’s policies and procedures.
**You will be responsible for the provision of**: Specialist Psychological Services for patients referred to Lincolnshire Adult Eating Disorders Service; provide highly specialist clinical psychological assessments and evidence based interventions; psychological interventions for patients with complex trauma. Working with the team to adapt pathways and programmes as appropriate in line with the service participating in Lincolnshires Community Mental Health Transformation in line with NHSE Roadmap Priorities, leading the dedicated focus on Eating Disorders.
You will be expected to undertake risk assessment and risk management for relevant patients and provide specialist advice for psychologists and other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management. To formulate evidence-based treatment plans, based on sound and current theoretical knowledge and good practice. Make highly skilled evaluations and decisions about a range of treatment options considering both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the patient.
You will also be required to manage other eating disorder psychologists and assistant psychologists as per the JD.

- To provide highly specialised and expert psychological services directly to service users and their families/carers with complex psychological and physical health needs relating to their eating difficulties (vulnerable and emotional adults referred to the services). This direct clinical work will be offered county wide.
- To meet appropriate standards of practice in the quality and timeliness of the service provided. The standards of practice will include meeting the standards defined by the HCPC, British Psychological Society (including the Division of Clinical Psychology) and Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust.
