**The role**:

- To ensure the health and welfare of all colleagues on site, by promoting the correct behaviours and ensuring that all colleagues follow all processes and roles with consideration to the impact on the environment, food safety and health & safety. Ensure that all the environment, food safety and health & safety principles and legal requirements are being applied effectively. _

Working as a team member contributing to the smooth running of an assigned area ensuring that work is completed to meet cost, quality, hygiene, and service expectations. This entails receipt, replenishment and accurate assembly of the customer’s products in accordance with the set procedures, hygiene, quality and MHE safety standards.

The products are received, stored and assembled via a computerised WMS system from the site production units and other customer manufacturing sites and transfers from other depots returns and refusals from customer deliveries.

Orders are accurately picked, checked and despatched on time. This entails ensuring that the customer products are received, stored and assembled ready for hand-over to the transport department for delivery in accordance with the company and customer’s procedures.

To lead by example and ensure that high standards are met, maintained and that there is an approach that leads to continual improvement.

To work as part of a flexible team to ensure that all levels within the team are communicated to appropriately and that all relevant information is raised to the correct level. That any issue is dealt with in a timely manner and that deadlines are met.

You will use as part of your duty any systems, equipment and methods including computer related software as may be introduced to further the performance of your duty. Accept new systems, methods and technology together with associated training.

**The person:
- Ensure that all aspects of role are carried out with the consideration of the site SHE policy
- That all SHE objectives are considered and continually worked towards achieving.
- Is fully competent in emergency procedures and BCP.
- All accidents & incidents are Reported Immediately
- Near misses and spills are reported appropriately and the potential danger is removed.
- A clean as you go policy is managed and that all colleagues are following and that all waste is segregated appropriately.
- All food safety measures are in place and monitored on a regular basis
- SSOWs are followed and adhered to.
- Ensure that all site rules and standards are adhered to
- Food and drink are not consumed within the warehouse.
- Hooded garments are not worn
- Snoods & hairnets are worn correctly and in the appropriate areas
- No mobiles or music players are used whilst working on site
- Ensure that no inappropriate product/liquid is put down the drains.
