**Overview**
We are seeking an enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. As a vital part of our business you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and organised environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have an interest in food preparation.

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders.
- Help in the preparation of hot and cold food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including regular cleaning of surfaces and equipment.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Perform basic maths calculations for order processing and transactions.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Will also be required to serve raw meat.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic culinary skills are desirable, along with a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are crucial for providing outstanding customer service.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

**Experience**:

- Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
