Product Owner

Robert Walters have partnered with a fortune global 500 company. They are recognised as true industry leaders and recognised as 'supermajors' within their industry with annual profits more than $5 billion.

Due to recent acquisitions, they are looking to hire a Product Owner on a contract basis for an initial 6 months with possibility of an extension.

Location: Fully remote working with some on site work in their offices within the West Midlands

Product Owners are responsible for defining and constantly improving a set of digital products within their respective product area which solve customer problems and create value for the business. You will help define standards of excellence for the Productorganisation and take ownership for achieving the results.

Working as part of the Product, UX and Engineering Teams, you will be leading on and delivering innovative and intuitive digital products and journeys that blend effortlessly with our customers' lives. You will be the person responsible for defining andowning the vision for our digital products, shaping a roadmap and delivering initiatives that create the most value for customers. You'll be forensic about getting to the right customer insight and passionate about ensuring this insight shapes the strategyfor the product and the roadmap.

**Key responsibilities**:
You are responsible for generating and championing ideas across the product area and supporting other product owners to do the same; and effectively selling those ideas to senior management.
Build a product roadmap which clearly delivers against agreed OKRs.
Collaborate with the Lead Software Engineer and Agile team members to create specific outcomes for initiatives on the roadmap and constantly iterate with a keen eye on customer outcomes and business value.
Review the effort required to deliver a feature and include this in the prioritisation of work for the team.
Ensure that all stakeholders across the business have a clear understanding of the product roadmap and outcomes.
Organise and lead workshops and meetings with senior stakeholders to align on requirements, gain feedback and showcase you and your team's work.
Review the balance of product development needs and business priority across the teams.
Work with the Experience Designer to embed design thinking in the POD and encourage experimentation to ensure the products constantly evolve and remain relevant, for example:
Collect customer insight on the customer problems that are being solved and constantly improve this based on feedback and data
Use prototyping as a way of testing relevance and effectiveness in a way which is easy to test
Ensure all decisions are data driven including multi variant testing; create customer and business value focused dashboards
Manage the product backlog for the relevant area keeping it up to date on incoming initiatives and priorities and work with the Lead Engineer to ensure it is consistent with the Delivery board.
Remove any impediments to the successful delivery of features and products.
