**Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Workers | Leicester City and/or Leicestershire County | Various hours are available | £21,876 - £23,973 (pro-rata for part-time)**

Our client is a domestic abuse and sexual violence charity, with a range of roles available across its service in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We have multiple posts covering either Leicester City and/or Leicestershire County. Posts covering the County require the post holder to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Due to the remit of this work a satisfactory DBS is essential, in addition, vetting by Leicestershire Police will be required for some roles.

**The essential qualities of a Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Workers are**
- Experience of working in a paid or unpaid capacity with a relevant support, information and advice service
- An understanding of abuse and the ways in which this can affect individuals
- An understanding of multi-agency working, including safeguarding procedures
- An ability to work flexibly, as required, including evening and weekend work

**Your main responsibilities will include**
- Delivering one-to-one support
- Delivering group sessions
- Working with multi-agency processes to maintain the safety of clients
- Delivering training and awareness sessions with local practitioners

Also, due to the remit of LWA to provide services to vulnerable women and children, and hence the sensitive nature of the work roles of the organisation, only female applicants for posts are considered, in accordance with the provisions of the OccupationalRequirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part I).
