My client is a leading not-for-profit organisation, looking to bolster its Procurement team with an interim Procurement Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong potential to go permanent.
**The main responsibilities of the interim Procurement Manager are**:
- Lead Category Management strategies to ensure the development, implementation, and delivery of a fully managed category portfolio.
- Liaising with Buyers, agreeing on tenders and conducting a category plan around the expenditure.
- Supporting budget holders and managers in their procurement activities.
- Supporting the delivery of the annual procurement plan and contributing to policies and procedures.
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your procurement Buying skills and hit the ground running at an already successful organisation.
- Previous experience in tendering within procurement.
- Experience in multi-functional purchasing.
- Excellent communication ability and experience in working within a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in working within the public sector.
My client can offer a flexible approach to working with the opportunity to work remotely for the whole duration of the contract, however for the first 3 weeks, you will be required to come into the office based in the Milton Keynes area.
