**Location**: Remote / Hybrid (Our Head Office is based in Derby)

**Salary**: £ 28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

**The Role**
At **Motorpoint **we are going through an exciting time of growth, and as a result we are currently looking for an **Content Editor, **to join the team, widen their knowledge and come on this exciting journey with us

Motorpoint operates in a content-rich and highly competitive market and is looking for a Content Editor to join its growing content team. We want someone who can help more customers buy the right nearly new cars by writing sharp, accurate and search-friendly consumer car content. As well as having a solid knowledge of family SUVs, hatchbacks and the hottest new mass-market EVs, you’ll have a flair for writing in an engaging way that entertains and informs.

Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll be part of a team responsible for writing and updating buying guides, product pages and more. We’re a small team, so you’ll also help come up with ideas for social media posts and videos. You’ll also be comfortable commissioning freelance writers and managing an editorial budget. Please note this isn’t a road-testing role, although we dare say there’ll be opportunities to get behind the wheel now and then.

**Requirements**:

- Researching, writing and publishing buying guide content across motorpoint.co.uk
- Supporting the wider marketing and PR teams with written content
- Scaling our content output with guidance from our SEO team
- Liaising with stock/buying teams to inform upcoming content
- Working with the SEO team to spot and fill content gaps
- Commissioning and managing freelancers
- Idea generation for written, social and video content
- Supporting the content team with day-to-day running of the site

**Skills**
- 3+ years working on a national motoring title
- A solid working knowledge of consumer car-buying habits
- A self-starting ability to write flawless copy that’s easy to understand and fun to read
- Experience using analytics data to inform content decisions
- The ability to come up with engaging ideas for content - be it on motorpoint.co.uk or on social
- A sub-editor’s eye for detail and the ability to hone copy written by others
- Full UK driver’s licence
