**Job Title**: Multi-Skilled Machine Setter

As a Multi-Skilled Machine Setter/Operator, you will play a critical role in setting, adjusting, and operating various machines to ensure high-quality production. Your responsibilities include quality auditing, maintaining equipment, and contributing to process improvements while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Machine Operations**: Set, adjust, and operate machines to meet customer requirements, ensuring optimal output and quality.
- **Quality Assurance**: Perform visual checks and gauge components using provided tools, maintaining master samples and self-certification procedures.
- **Maintenance**: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and housekeeping of tools, gauges, and machinery.
- **Defect Reporting**: Promptly report any defects or suspected issues with tools, gauges, or machinery.
- **Record Keeping**: Accurately maintain routing records, including quality, quantity, and materials used.
- **Productivity Improvements**: Assist in identifying and implementing measures to enhance productivity, quality, and working conditions as part of a continual improvement program.
- **Thread Rolling Operations**: Occasionally perform thread rolling operations, including hand-feeding, machine loading/unloading, and monitoring.
- **Shift Work**: Flexibility to work shifts as required, with shift allowances provided.
- **Housekeeping**: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold high housekeeping standards.

**Health, Safety & Environment**
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and maintain safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental controls and company procedures.
- Promote a safe and clean working environment.

**Qualifications and SkillsPreferred Qualifications**:

- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
- OND/ONC in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Proficiency in setting and operating various machines.
- Fault detection and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic computer literacy.

**Experience**:

- Previous machine operation experience is desirable.
- Quality assurance experience is an advantage.

- Valid driving license and access to own vehicle.
