As Head Housekeeper you’ll lead from the front ensuring the successful daily running of operations. Leading by example and setting the standard by your own excellent cleaning performance, you will be responsible for driving performance through inspiring and developing the housekeeping team to deliver our high standards and maintaining our well-deserved reputation as one of the highest-rated cleaning companies in our area.

We offer flexible working arrangements and various days are available but will need to be available on Fridays and Saturdays including in the school holidays and have your own transport.

**Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Work both independently and as part of a team to carry out high standard cleaning services across our property portfolio
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping team
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness
- Spot check cottages to ensure they meet established standards of cleanliness
- Manage and inspire the team, setting the standard through leading by example, with your own excellent cleaning performance
- Support the director in recruitment, training and performance management of the Housekeeping Team.
- Identify growth opportunities for the company and work with the director to realise such opportunities Responsibilities:

- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment for staff and guests
- Implement policies and procedures related to housekeeping

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a cottage cleaning setting is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a cottage cleaning environment
- Computer skills are desirable, but not essential
