Join our dedicated Care Team providing high-quality care to individuals as an Independent Living Assistant, Waking Night at Charles Clore Court, Southcote, Reading. Providing night support to vulnerable adults as and when required.

The working pattern is working waking night shifts Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Night shift hours are 9.45pm to 7.00am.

You will have experience in working in care or support setting, treating our service users with dignity and respect whilst meeting their individual care needs, including support with personal care.

As a lone worker you will have the responsibility to ensure that any urgent care or building matters are attended to and you must have the skills to evaluate risks and devise strategies to mitigate and handle them effectively.

We are a Domiciliary Care service registered with CQC whose aims are to provide high quality support to adults regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.

The Team provides service users with opportunities to maintain their independence, build positive relationships and be empowered to make informed choices, within a person-centred approach.

**You will be able to demonstrate**:

- Good general education, to include good literacy skills
- NVQ2/QCF Level 2 Diploma in Care and Promoting Independence or commitment to achieving this
- A commitment to delivering Person Centred Support to a range of individuals
- Able to relate to service users and meet their needs, with a sense of understanding, patience, respect and dignity
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Ability to be self-motivating

Progression through the full salary range is dependent on attaining the relevant QCF qualification. You will also demonstrate a commitment to anti oppressive practice along with a flexible attitude to travelling around and working in the local area.
