DS Smith are looking for an experienced Data Protection and HR Data Lead to join the team.
Comprehensive knowledge of data protection regulations:
- Familiarity with other relevant data protection regulations and their applicability
Data governance and compliance management:
- Expertise in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, processes, and standards
- Ability to conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and maintain records of processing activities (ROPAs)
- Experience in setting and monitoring compliance performance targets and metrics
Project management and stakeholder engagement:
- Strong project management skills to coordinate and monitor data protection initiatives across the organization
- Ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at various levels, including senior management
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with IT teams on security incidents and remediation
Training and awareness:
- Proficiency in developing and delivering data protection training programs
- Ability to create engaging and effective training materials and awareness campaigns
Data protection management systems:
- Hands-on experience with data protection management tools like OneTrust
- Expertise in system configuration, user management, and data mapping
- Ability to leverage system capabilities for workflow automation, reporting, and compliance monitoring
HR data management:
- In-depth understanding of HR data lifecycle, risks, and best practices
- Ability to analyse and provide recommendations for HR data management
- Familiarity with HR data transformation projects and initiatives
Technical and analytical skills:
- Knowledge of technical and organizational measures for data protection
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Ability to understand and work with complex systems and data structures
- Ability to interpret requirements and visualise data through PowerBI
Soft skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Adaptability to work in a pragmatic and evidence-based environment
Industry experience:
- Understanding of the manufacturing industry and its data protection challenges
- Experience working in an international or multi-regional organization
- Familiarity with project delivery methodologies and tools
