**Overview**

Atkins Search are recruiting for a Site Foreman/Maintenance Operative to join a dynamic, aspiring construction and development firm based in Derby.

**Client**

Our client are a versatile and dedicated Construction and Development firm specialising in the construction of in-house projects as well as offering services to external clients.

**Role**

Operating as a Site Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining purpose-built HMO studio rooms across the portfolio, becoming involved in parts of live work across new projects for both internal and external projects, as well as works involved in maintenance contracts.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are always maintained - reporting any issues immediately.
- Monitoring works against programme.
- Have an awareness of upcoming works.
- Reporting progress of works back to the site team on a continual basis.
- Responsible for ensuring allocated labour is carrying out.
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Ensure quality of workmanship is maintained to a very high standard at all times.
- Record and report any non-conformances.
- Carry out daily snagging of all works.
- Assist and lead where necessary the rectification of these non-conformances and snagging works.
- Assist when required with installation works.

**Person**
- Previous experience as a tradesman, experience as a maintenance operative beneficial working on general repairs of building fabric, systems & equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues or potential problems.
- Impeccable time-management skills.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of others when necessary.
- Capability to stay organised and maintain high levels of workmanship.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain the accurate records of all maintenance activities.
