Derby County Football Club are recruiting Matchday Safety Stewards to join our Matchday operations team

The role of Matchday Safety Steward is pivotal in ensuring the overall matchday experience is one to remember, providing excellent levels of customer service whilst ensuring the safety of all who attend our stadium.

Personal characteristics and experience:
Previous customer service experience is essentialPrevious stewarding or crowd management experience is desiredKnowledge of Pride Park StadiumFlexibility to work unsociable hoursConfident, Resilient and Self MotivatedExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenWork using own initiative and as part of a team

Desirable QualificationsGCSE or equivalent in Maths and English to Grade C or aboveSecurity Industry Authority (SIA) Accreditation

Due to the nature of this role, applicants are required to be at least 18 years of age.

There is a requirement for all Matchday Safety Stewards to attend 70% of all home league fixtures. Please note, this primarily includes weekend and evening work.

The club will provide you with Level 2 Spectator Safety Training for all Matchday Safety Stewards. This is a mandatory qualification you will be required to hold in this role.

The rate of pay is £11.44 per hour rising to £11.79 per hour on successful completion of Level 2 Spectator Safety.

Within your first few games as a Matchday Safety Steward, you will be supervised by another Steward on your stand to provide the opportunity to learn from your colleagues and put all Spectator Safety learning into action
