Procurement Category Lead to join a renounced food delivery service who have grown tremendously over the years are in the search to recruit a procurement Category Lead where you will be responsible for building and developing strong relationships with suppliersand stakeholders whilst providing support to the Procurement Team.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Taking full ownership on designated category within an agreed spend threshold
- Develop a strategic category plan for a given product area
- Ensure we have the latest insight into product quality and availability, allowing us to plan ahead
- Monitor supplier performance and drive change to ensure we hit our target
- Resolving any procurement queries and resolving supplier issues
- Negotiating pricing and cost savings
- Managing contract renewals

**Experience required**:

- 8 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment
- Category management, experience
- Influencing, negotiation skills essential
- Exposure to Category spend within - Meat & Protein
- Experience in sourcing chilled proteins, frozen or fresh ingredients
- Delivered commercial results with outstanding quality
- Launched successful new ranges
- A passion for interesting challenges and a desire to imagine and deliver a better way
