We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant join our academy, to support pupils with SEND and to ensure that every child succeeds.
E-ACT The Grange Academy are looking to appoint an inspirational, creative and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant (for SEN Pupils) to join our academy. The purpose of this role is to develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences for all students.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide particular support for identified pupil(s) with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work.
- Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed.
- Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers
Pay range: SCP 5-7 £21,803.39 - £22,501.73 per annum (Full Time Equivalent £24,790 - £25,584)
37 hours per week 39 weeks per year
Qualifications and Skills:
- TA2 Qualification or equivalent
- Maths & English GCSE Grades A-C (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Awareness of SEND and safeguarding processes
- Good interpersonal skills
