Buyer - Indirect

Here at Autosmart we are searching for an experienced, hands on and innovative Indirect buyer to join our Procurement Team, where you will have ownership of our Indirect Procurement activities. In our pacey and varied role, you will develop and manage an assistant buyer and work collaboratively across multiple departments. By fully utilising your excellent communication, rapport building and negotiation skills you will maintain and develop strong business relationships with our indirect suppliers.

We have doubled in size in the last 10 years with a strategic plan to grow by 50% in the next 5 years. To sustain and underpin our growth, we have invested over £30 million in a brand new, 5-acre warehouse and state of the art manufacturing site in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

**Our Buyer will be**:

- Maintaining supply of indirect purchases from approved suppliers
- Agreeing, managing, and measuring supplier performance against service level agreements
- Sourcing and buying across all indirect supply categories
- Leading and delivering on a wide range of procurement projects
- Developing and managing an assistant buyer
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the entire business
- Providing monthly management reports
- Maintaining systems and processes

**Our Buyer will**:

- Have 5+ years indirect procurement experience
- Be an excellent communicator
- Bring first class organisational and planning skills
- Have some experience or understanding of coaching and developing others
- Be a positive team player, with a can-do approach and keen to learn and develop
- Have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Have a degree level qualification or equivalent (not essential)
