As a **Dispatch Team Leader at our new depot, **the role will include supervising, overseeing, and working within our dispatch department. You will be accountable for the day to day running of your team where you will undertake daily routines to ensure your team is delivering on all aspects of the delivery cycle from order placement through to picking, routing, vehicle maintenance, delivery of goods & customer service.

**Managing a team of people, you will be able to**:

- Deliver excellent, best in class customer service and have the ability to talk to customers with ease
- Manage a team to ensure the major dispatch function of the depot is performed effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Work with the management team to ensure all dispatch KPIs including fulfilment rates are successfully achieved
- Manage the dispatch team to ensure deliveries arrive to our customers on time
- Provide compliance to due diligence checks, legal requirements, and Company policies relating to the delivered operation and transport vehicles
- Organising weekly staffing rotas

**To be a success in this role you will**:

- Be of a strong character who can lead by example
- Develop, encourage, and lead a key team to provide best in class depot standards within a complex business environment
- Not be frightened to challenge the status quo - you will need to quickly identify problems, develop fixes and strategies for improvement and then have the courage of your convictions to implement the necessary changes
- Have the experience of managing people and not afraid to hold different conversations when necessary
- Have excellent communication skills and be confident when facing challenging situations
- Demonstrate and provide an excellent working knowledge of the retail / wholesale channel
- Have good IT skills and experience of IT systems

This role requires you to work 5 out of 7 day on a rota basis with occasional unsocial hours.
