Barista

The Lodge Coffee Shops inside the Eden Centre in Edenbridge.

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled barista to join our team who will be responsible for creating delicious beverages for our customers. You will also be responsible for assisting with event catering at the site. If you have a passion for coffee and food and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently and manage payments
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, following food safety standards
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons in a friendly manner
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of basic maths for handling transactions - Kitchen, food handling, food prep experience
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- A helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues

**Schedule**

11-2 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays

11-4.30 Wednesday

Some Saturdays as required

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 18 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
- barista: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
