Compliance Officer

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:
- Provide an effective and professional inspection/assessment service at all times for any required scheme, investigating all cases, risk assessing and escalation as appropriate
- To record complaint cases and follow HETAS/Woodsure policy in giving timely updates or responses to the parties involved
- To review registered businesses for compliance with scheme rules and make an appropriate recommendation based on findings
- To assist with administrative support and liaise effectively with all other staff members and with external inspectors and all stakeholders to ensure effective compliance processes
- To assist in progressing and investigating complaints or concerns received from any stakeholders in support of the Lead Compliance Officer and management
- To liaise with other HETAS departments in an efficient and positive way when required and support others internally and externally in delivering the company aims
- Effectively utilise a CRM database and Microsoft Office software packages including Word, basic Excel, Outlook etc. to support administrative processes
- To promote HETAS schemes and services when appropriate
- To prioritise workload to maximise the benefits to our stakeholders
- Suggest improvements to case administration and the database where possible
**Skills, knowledge & experience**:
- Quality administration skills and experience working in a busy customer-focused environment
- Basic Maths and English skills
- Ability to deal with difficult people in a diplomatic and appropriate manner, remaining polite and professional
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Use of IT (PC) and standard software like MS Office and an ability to learn to use a bespoke database
- People skills and an ability to work both within a team and when required, to carry out individual projects
- Customer service skills and an ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders effectively
- Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
