Our client are a fast growing ecommerce business.

They currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a Front End Developer to bridge the gap between technology and marketing, providing customers with a first class user experience across the business.

Following best practice coding standards they will implement technical changes to the sites using HTML, HTML5, CSS, Java Script, JQuery, SASS, Vue js and ensuring the websites reflect the marketing activity for the brands.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Achieving sales targets by working with the Head of Direct Marketing to implement successful campaigns.
- Development of site with current Magento platform.
- Site code testing and function testing supporting Technical Assistant with this part of role.
- Building and thorough testing of Static/Landing pages for all websites.
- Development of fully mobile sites with a mobile first approach.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to develop static pages further with additional features and functionality.
- Ensure the systems are in place to track all required data.
- Testing of any code changes to the websites: responsible for co-ordinating testing on projects with IT.
- Leading change on the website homepages and developing with more advanced functionality and design working closely with the in-house Graphic Designers.
- General admin duties
- Website CSS implementation.
- Website usability.
- Community/blog development and support.
- Undertake such tasks and duties as may be reasonably requested by your manager or other members of the management team.
- Implementation of digital assets from the marketing department across the websites.

Required Skills and Experience:

- At least 2 years experience working on a commercial ecommerce system as a Front End Developer or similar role.
- Must have experience working with third party suppliers.

Technical knowledge
- Must be skilled in the following coding: CSS, CSS3, HTML, HTML5, Java Script,, SASS and J Query
- Github experience
- JS - Automation test scripts
- Knowledge of A/B testing platforms such as Monetate/ Optimizely.
- Basic Photoshop editing skills (or similar)
- Magento (or similar e-commerce platform) experience - essential
- Wordpress experience
- Google Analytics ability to understand and recognise from this tool relevant stats for business
- Must have a good knowledge of SEO and the importance of content on a website.
