**The Role**
Fortem Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi Trade to join our Cambridge Housing Society contract, covering areas around Cambridgeshire. This role would be a hybrid role with 80% working on the tools and 20% working as the Voids Supervisor, so we're looking for someone with a bit of Supervisory experience or an experienced Multi Trade looking to progress in their career.
**The Client**
Our contract with Cambridge Housing Society is brand new and launching on April 1st. This will be a long term partnership with houses covering the whole of Cambridgeshire, from Wisbech down to Haverhill, although primarily situated in central Cambridge. There are nearly 3,000 properties, mostly houses and flats, and we will be looking after their Repairs, Voids, Cyclical Works and Planned workstreams.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Your responsibilities will include: - Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on Social Housing properties, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards. - Perform additional multi-skilled tasks to complete jobs beyond core trade. - Take ownership of work, aiming for a ‘First Time Fix’ on all jobs. - Work within budget and time constraints. - Follow company Health and Safety guidelines. - Stay up to date with technical and legal requirements in your skill areas. - Conduct maintenance and renewal work on properties. - Motivate, coach, and retain skilled tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment. - Develop and implement a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency levels of all team members.
**What You Will Need**
Essential Criteria: - Full UK driving licence (no more than 5 points) - Qualifications or qualified by experience in at least one core Trade - Competent with at least one more Trade Desirable Criteria: - Experience working within a social housing setting - Demonstrated experience managing void properties and overseeing associated works. - Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
