The Security Department are responsible for ensuring and maintaining the security of Yodel's sites, assets, people, and processes across the Yodel estate nationally.

**What you'll be doing**:
You will work closely with the Security team and Operations Managers to carry out and support proactive and reactive activity to prevent and detect crime against Yodel, clients, and customers. For this role there is the responsibility for security and investigations within a specified region, supporting the Security Strategy and Tactical Plans, whilst driving a Zero Tolerance approach to Business loss under the direction of the Regional Security and Investigations Manager. Other duties will include:

- By regular visits ensure that allocated Service Centres are physically secure, staff are compliant, identify areas of potential loss, then work with the Regional Security and Investigations Manager and SVC Management to mitigate those losses. Compile a daily RIVO report, highlighting discoveries and any areas that can be improved.
- Prevent and detect crimes including theft, fraud, trespass, burglary and other offences against the person such as assault and harassment.
- Proactively use Yodel systems and CCTV to identify offenders and then take the necessary action in order to resolve any issues.
- Conduct searches of staff and vehicles to discover stolen items and ensure compliance.
- Oversee physical security measures in accordance with Yodel policies and procedures, ensure ID badges are worn, highlight and enforce health and safety requirements, such as the wearing of PPE.
- Occasionally assist with Security Operations/Investigations, both external and internal, outside of the permanent place of work but within the UK, this may require out of area travel and overnight stay.
- Interview witnesses and persons under investigation and putting evidence into witness statement format.
- Actively pursue a policy of security awareness within the whole company.
- In addition to these functions Security investigators will be required to undertake other reasonable duties when required.
- Working days will include some weekends.

**What you need to show us**:
You will be a team player and be able to show initiative when working on your own in the field. You will have knowledge and experience in a similar role working with police policies and procedures and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also be able to demonstrate:

- Competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience of working as part of a Security Team.
- Prior experience in use of CCTV systems.
