This is not a usual drug and alcohol service; it is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging service users and their families in their recovery.

**Hours**: 37.5hrs per week.

**Salary**:£22,357 - £23,525 dependent on experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- To co-ordinate and deliver a weekly programme of cookery, art and creative writing
activities.
- Provide coaching, training and support to service users to improve their wellbeing.
- Assist service users with action planning, information and advice.
- Research additional alternative creative/holistic activities in the local area and encourage service users to engage in further meaningful activities.
- Refer service users to a range of external/community activities and work in partnership
with other agencies to contribute toward a holistic support package.
- To actively consult with service users to ensure that the range of activities meets the service needs.
- Work flexibly within an agreed number of hours of work to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision, including evening/weekend working (if required).

**About you**:

- Experience of working/volunteering in the social care environment and having a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
- To have experience in supporting individuals in improving their health and wellbeing by providing education, support and advice.
- To hold a relevant food hygiene certificate and /or cookery skills or be willing to undertake training provided.
- To hold relevant qualification and/or experience/skills to support the delivery of art, cookery and creative writing activities.
- The ability and willingness to be empathetic, inclusive and non-judgemental in your practice.
