Overview

As a GPhC registered technician you will design and deliver teaching across the Pharmacy Practice area, contribute to the assessment of students through OSCEs and Clinical Skills sessions and manage the day to day running of the Dispensary area and Consultation rooms.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Practice team, to design and deliver Practice and Clinical Teaching within the MPharm programme ensuring that it is accessible, inclusive and contributes to the University’s Teaching and Learning Strategy.
- Develop and review assessments in relation to the practice of pharmacy and be involved in associated quality assurance, delivery, marking and feedback.
- Support individual MPharm students in the role as professional mentor and academic tutor.
- Improve and enhance the student experience and student outcomes through programme delivery based on a detailed understanding of student needs and professional requirements.
- Behave ethically in all aspects of your role and act as a role-model for MPharm students.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the School pharmacy dispensary and consultation area including preparation of teaching and equipment.
- Arrange for the purchase/procurement and safe storage and administration of pharmacy supplies, including medicinal products and prepare costings and liaise with relevant senior colleagues for replacement of equipment /supplies or procurement of new equipment /supplies.
- Manage own technical and administrative activities, with guidance from colleagues if required.
- Participate in School admissions and outreach activities which may involve activities outside of standard working hours, for example Open days.
- Work according to University quality assurance processes and other regulatory frameworks including Professional Regulatory bodies e.g. GPhC.
- Actively contribute to the collective interests and values of the University through individual

action and inclusive, collaborative working.
- Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
