**About the role**
Balfour Beatty is a leading construction company, shaping the future of the UK’s infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced **Quality Lead** to join our Net Zero Teesside project.
As a key part of our team, you will provide expert quality leadership, ensuring that our project delivers right-first-time solutions, eliminating waste and improving quality performance.
**What you'll be doing**
As **Quality Lead,** you will be responsible for the overall quality management of the Net Zero Teesside project, delivering excellence in quality outcomes through a proactive approach. You will manage the quality resources, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other project-specific standards, and will work closely with the Project Director and Project Leadership Team to maintain the highest standards of quality across all aspects of the project.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Leadership**: Provide leadership to the project’s quality resources, ensuring a relentless focus on quality and zero harm.
- **Process Improvement**: Challenge systems and processes to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, and reduce the cost of quality.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Report on project performance relating to quality, implementing corrective actions and driving performance improvements.
- **Training & Development**: Coach and develop the quality skills of business streams and facilitate quality-related training.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Represent the business in client quality interfaces and build strong relationships with project teams, delivery teams, and external partners.
- **Compliance**: Ensure the project is compliant with all relevant quality standards, including ISO 9001, and industry-specific requirements.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Facilitate quality-related improvement initiatives and conduct root cause analysis to drive effective corrective actions.
- **Reporting**: Produce and deliver detailed reports on quality management performance to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- **Sustainability & Safety**: Support the project’s sustainability roadmap and ensure the commitment to Zero Harm across all project activities.
