Our client who specialises within education, has enlisted FRS to support with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner - Payroll, to join their friendly team based in Corby on a full time contract.

Job Purpose:
1. To undertake a range of payroll and HR support responsibilities to ensure the Trust’s employees are paid accurately and on time.
2. To ensure that the Trust is compliant in all aspects of payroll and HR including equality in pay.

**Responsibilities**:

- Actively and regularly review payroll process to ensure and efficient payroll operation
- In liaison with the Trust HR Manager, act as the lead contact for the outsourced payroll provider
- Act as the contact for all pension administration issues and returns
- Lead the preparation of the monthly payroll.
- Undertake payroll reconciliations.
- In liaison with the Trust HR Manager, ensure that the integrity of the Trust Job Families and Job Evaluation Scheme is maintained.
- Actively take part in Job Evaluation processes on request of the Trust HR Manager
- Prepare and submit statutory returns.
- Prepare and submit relevant forms to HMRC as required (P11d, P46 Car etc)
- Prepare the Trust and school payroll budgets and forecast in conjunction with the principals and the Financial Controller
- In liaison with the HR Manager, prepare any payroll information as requested by the unions
- Produce the gender pay gap report on an annual basis
- Produce pay progression analysis and reports on request of from relevant colleagues
- Monitor apprenticeship levy payments and usage and update the Trust HR Manager on spend
- Produce the facilities time report on an annual basis
- Undertake day-to-day supervision of payroll administration staff
- Regularly communicate with School based HR Staff in relation to the monthly payroll
- Maintain financial records and undertake financial administration.
- To undertake any other duties, commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required from time to time.
- Ideally have education/not-for profit experience.
- Strong excel skills: VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables.
- Experience with accruals and prepayments
- Experience of payroll
- Desirable to have experience of pension schemes
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians or the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals
