PAYE: £25 p/h Umbrella £33 p/h
**Company**:
The company are a global automotive manufacturing company. They are internationally renowned for their quality and reliability. They are currently undergoing a fantastic period of growth and so are expanding their product development team. You will be joininga highly visible team that works directly with all areas of engineering.
**The role**:
As a Performance Engineer you will have responsibility for conducting testing, development and sign off for the 0.5L to 7.1L engine programmes under the direct responsibility of the Development team. You will be accountable for process excellence, maintainingengineering best practices and documentation.
**Day to day activities will include**:
- Conduct and/or direct engine tests, calibration and performance development to support 900 series program requirements.
- Conduct and/or direct tests (including Design of Experiments), checking data quality, test result integrity and repeatability.
- Write requirements, procedures, and reports and formally present on test outcomes.
- Plan, manage and deliver tests to tight time scales and to right quality.
- Collaborate with global team (GED-CN and GED-NA) to drive global alignment and best practices
**What is required**:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum
- Experience in combustion, performance, and economy development of diesel engines.
- Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment and test data logging systems.
- Hands on engine testing and problem-solving experience.
