**Finance Manager, Sunderland**

Our client is a multi-award winning business that has grown significantly, nationally, from its North East base over many years. It provides a variety of services to hundreds of corporate customers and is looking to further strengthen its Finance function withthe appointment of a new Finance Manager.

**_Reporting to the Finance Director, _ _as Finance Manager you’ll play a key role in ensuring that the business meets financial objectives and reports accurate information in relation to costs, spend, budget and similar. Yourresponsibilities will include:

- Manage the finance team to ensure departmental KPIs are met
- Ensure compliance to all legal requirements that are defined by HMRC and other statutory bodies
- Lead on producing finance plans, preparation for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly outlook and analysis (esp. payroll)
- Own the integrity of supporting data that supports company
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports as required by business, provide information and present to MD and FD
- Drive team to ensure month end and year end reporting is accurate and timely
- Ensure the finance team are fully competent through review, training, development and appropriate certification/qualifications
- Work closely with other departmental heads to continually improve the quality of service and ultimately the business performance
- Participate in scheduled and adhoc management meetings and organise regular team meetings to support communications

**_As Finance Manager you’ll need:_**
- Relevant, strong and demonstrable skills and knowledge such as Finance Manager, Finance Supervisor, Senior Management Accountant or Management Accountant. Experience of a fast-moving, service-driven business with large payroll beneficial.
- CIMA qualified or equivalent advantageous
- Knowledge and experience of Sage
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages and systems and processes
- Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Conscientious, methodical and able to work under own initiative
- Task orientated with the ability to build effective relationships
