**Location**: HQ Based, Godalming, Surrey (Hybrid with up to 3 days per week working from home)
Compassion in World Farming International is looking for a Global HR Manager to support our growing charity. You will play a critical role in developing the capacity of the organisation’s HR services. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HR generalist experience to play a central role in driving the delivery of our strategy.

Compassion in World Farming International is a leading global farm animal welfare organisation campaigning to bring an end to factory farming and to implement the highest animal welfare standards in Europe and beyond.
We lead a growing worldwide movement of people concerned about how industrial agriculture mistreats animals, wastes precious resources and utterly fails to meet the needs of the planet’s inhabitants.
With headquarters in the UK and offices in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and the USA, we are an influential organisation whose supporters and partners throughout the world help us deliver on our initiatives
**What you’ll do as part of our team**
The Global HR Manager will support the Global Head of HR in the design and implementation of HR tools, policy, and processes. This role will also work with our global offices to ensure that high quality and effective HR services are provided for all employees.This is a real ‘hands on’ role; it will involve working on various projects covering Reward, Performance Management, Talent, Training & Development, and all employee lifecycle operations.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Manage the day-to-day HR function with experience of providing hands-on HR generalist support
- Work closely with the Global Head of HR to execute strategic priorities, goals and special projects
- Work with colleagues in the Operations department to develop processes in line with best practices
- Maintain knowledge of HR best practices, trends, laws, regulations, and technology to support our work within the Operations team
- Navigate operating in several countries (note: you will not be expected to know labour laws in all the countries we operate in but will be expected to be able to raise questions and challenge assumptions you may have).
**Skills and experience you’ll need to bring**:
- HR experience across a range of HR functions
- Comfortable working with multiple projects, using initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity to resolve problems
- Work at pace and make decisions with limited information to implement solutions that are viable, and that can develop with the organisation as it matures
- Have a strong equity lens, understand oppression, and bring anti-oppression principles into all aspects of work
- Have excellent organisational and project management skills, be able to track multiple moving pieces and coordinate the work of several stakeholders
- Familiar with change management strategies to be used within the team and broader organisation
- Be comfortable with technology, learning and figuring out new systems, then providing support to team members
- Good understanding of employment law
- Be willing to learn and approach challenges with curiosity and from a solutions-based mindset
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to handle sensitive information with integrity and maintain confidentiality of HR related information
- Have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Charity or Not for Profit experience is desirable, but again, not essential.
- Have a strong equity lens, understand oppression, and bring anti-oppression principles into all aspects of work
