Lead Safeguarding Practitioner / Vulnerable Adults & Child Protection Officer with experience of protecting and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults from exploitation and harm, and expertise in developing systems and policies in a complex partnership landscape using data and intelligence insights, is required to join a Community Safety & Enforcement Team for a well-established organisation based in Wokingham, Berkshire.
This role is known within the organisation as an Exploitation and Serious Violence Lead
**SALARY**: £43,421 - £48,474 per annum + Benefits
**LOCATION**: Hybrid - working both from home and the office in Wokingham.
**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent
**WORKING HOURS**: 37 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Lead Safeguarding Practitioner / Vulnerable Adults & Child Protection Officer with experience of protecting and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults from exploitation and harm, and expertise in developing systems and policies in a complex partnership landscape.
As a Lead Safeguarding Practitioner / Vulnerable Adults & Child Protection Officer you will implement partnership working in order to protect and safeguard children and vulnerable adults from exploitation and harm. Your role will be central to ensuring partners are working together and listening to the needs of residents, in order to prevent issues from escalating.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Lead Safeguarding Practitioner / Vulnerable Adults & Child Protection Officer will include:
The ability to use data and intelligence insights to develop a partnership approach, to safeguarding Children and Adults at risk of exploitation or serious violence
Develop best practice prevention and early intervention across a broad complex local partnership landscape
Support, co-ordinate, drive forward and deliver the work of the Serious Violence and Exploitation Board
Support and advise Adults and Childrens Social Care Practitioners to help develop policy and intervention pathways to reduce escalation of risk
Develop practical early intervention and prevention programmes that bring together best practice and local needs
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced Safeguarding practitioner, with evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
Demonstratable knowledge & experience of the wider strategic & operational framework and context of Criminal Justice, Community Safety & Public Health of the Serious Violence & Exploitation agenda
Experience & expertise of developing systems and policies in a complex partnership landscape
