National Timber Group are looking to recruit a Softwood Product Champion.
- Have a high standard of product awareness in respect of the Softwood commodity and be able to assist & advise their colleagues - Sales Operators & Areas Sales Representatives - with regards to the supply & pricing of these materials, whilst also liaising directly with customers.
- Responsibility for delivering the commodity budget, to assist the branch in its achievement of overall monthly budget objectives, via increased margin & turnover.
- To support the Sales Operators and Area Representatives with the development of new softwood business.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and profitability
- Pro-active tele-sales and following up on enquiries, prompt response to incoming calls and recording of relevant information in CRM system.
- Check & query customer last price paid via the Daily Operator Margin Reports.
- Check the sell price of their own commodity items to ensure that they are happy that these materials are not being undersold via the Daily Category Margin Reports.

Ensure accuracy and consistency of work
- Increase the overall accuracy of processing customer orders by ensuring correct delivery, specification (only use codes with stock available) and price details entered.
- Improve internal communication with Transport and relevant Departments to ensure customer expectations are met and OTIF targets are achieved.
- Accurate pricing of Purchase Orders (be aware of margin implications)
- Consistent & professional approach to the entering of information on paperwork & following agreed procedures
