**OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE**

To ensure the smooth running of the Security/Reception on site whilst ensuring Health & Safety procedures are adhered to protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

**KEY RESPONSIBILIITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Ensure all visitors complete necessary paperwork, check ID’s and notify appropriate people on site.
- Monitor CCTV system and report any anomalies to management.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Undertake regular patrols of perimeter during the week and also internally during weekends and other periods when production is non-operational.
- Maintain security log of daily activities.
- Ensure perimeter gates are locked and opened at appropriate times
- Dealing with out of hours deliveries/couriers. Booking in and out product loads and Goods In Vehicles.
- Logging of produce for Goods In (i.e. time of arrival, quantity, order numbers, date of expected delivery).
- Assisting Warehouse in the weighing of flour on entry and exit to site. Weekend control of flour deliveries into silos.
- Monitor car parks particularly during site visits
- Answer telephones and direct calls accordingly.
- Assist on an ad-hoc basis with requesting agency cover and have an understanding of the manning on a weekend, to support the production team.
- Booking in all staff arriving on site for start of shift and reporting the Production Management manning totals.
- Record absences which are reported via the absence line and liaise with relevant Managers, Supervisors and HR department in a timely manner.
- Take delivery of postal items and notify appropriate persons.
- Assist with bag/locker searches and escort people off site when necessary/required.
- Ensure that all personnel pursue safe working practices.
- Maintain confidentiality when assisting HR/Management and dealing with employee queries/reporting absence.

**Health & Safety**
- Liaise with emergency services in the event of a first aid incident, fire or ammonia leak.
- Testing, calibrating and issuing emergency equipment like ammonia meters or escape sets.
- Perform fire marshal duties.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You are required to undertake any other request as required by management. In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effectively carry out the above responsibilities.

**Salary**: £10.10 per hour
