**Here’s everything you need to know about this Prison Catering Tutor role**:

- £28.17 per hour
- Full-time role - 4.5 days per week - Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1pm finish on Fridays
- No evening or weekend work required - all work takes place on-site within working hours
- Play a key role in managing and assessing learners as they work towards their NVQ in catering
- Work alongside prison-employed staff, fitting in with the prison regime and security protocols
- Be part of a close-knit and supportive management team that prioritises staff wellbeing
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and prison policies while delivering high-quality training

What you’ll need:

- Catering industry experience with relevant qualifications
- TAQA qualification and at least a Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain compliance with strict prison systems and protocols
- A clean, enhanced DBS check or the ability to obtain one

Desirable but not essential:

- Teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE)
- Experience working in a secure environment or with learners with challenging behaviour
- TAQA Internal Verifier award / V1 or equivalent
- Level 4 or equivalent vocational qualification in catering
